Focus and Scope
Glossema: Journal of Linguistics Perspectives provides a premier platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to disseminate cutting-edge research that advances the understanding of language in all its forms and functions. The journal is dedicated to fostering critical dialogue across the broad spectrum of linguistic inquiry, bridging the gap between theoretical structures, social contexts, and practical applications.
We invite high-quality original research articles, review papers, and short communications that address key issues in the following areas:
-
Micro Linguistics: We encourage submissions that investigate the internal structures of language. This includes, but is not limited to, the analysis of grammatical systems, morphological processes in local and vernacular languages, syntactic structures, and the study of meaning and lexical semantics.
-
Macro Linguistics: We seek research that places language within its broader social and cultural context. We are particularly interested in studies focusing on multilingualism and code-switching/mixing, pragmatics and politeness strategies, language maintenance and shift in diverse communities, as well as critical discourse analysis of media and political communication.
-
Applied Linguistics: We welcome contributions that solve practical problems related to language use. Key areas of interest include innovations in English Language Teaching (ELT/EFL), language acquisition, translation and interpretation studies, and forensic linguistics.
